Technical Introduction
The design of corrugated plates optimizes heat transfer by providing a large yet compact total surface area, through which heat can be transferred from one liquid or gas to another.
The heat-transfer surfaces of the plates are corrugated in a herringbone pattern. When two plates are stacked in opposite herringbone orientations, the helical flow and high turbulence result in a high heat-transfer coefficient and effective self-cleaning.
The partitioned flow distribution across the plate bundle ensures uniform fluid flow over the entire surface, thereby maximizing heat-transfer performance. Optimized flow distribution also minimizes fouling and non-uniform temperature profiles, helping to maintain high performance throughout operation while reducing unnecessary energy losses, maintenance costs, and unscheduled downtime.
Gaskets are a critical component of heat exchanger performance.
We adopt an integrated design approach for gaskets and plates to ensure optimized sealing. Each component is custom-designed to match the specific heat-exchanger operating conditions. The precise profile, width, thickness, and selection of polymer combinations make a significant difference in mitigating the risk of premature leakage or damage to either the gasket or the plate. Proper matching extends gasket service life, reduces downtime, and lowers maintenance costs.
