All-Welded Plate Heat Exchanger


The all-welded plate heat exchanger is a completely new concept in welded plate heat exchangers. Its external appearance resembles that of a dry, detachable plate heat exchanger. It not only inherits the high heat-transfer efficiency and compact structure of conventional plate heat exchangers but also exhibits the medium- to high-pressure and medium- to high-temperature resistance characteristic of shell-and-tube heat exchangers.

The all-welded plate heat exchanger is a completely new concept in welded plate heat exchangers. Its external appearance resembles that of a dry, detachable plate heat exchanger. It not only inherits the high heat-transfer efficiency and compact structure of conventional plate heat exchangers but also exhibits the medium- to high-pressure and medium- to high-temperature resistance characteristic of shell-and-tube heat exchangers.
Due to the fully counterflow arrangement of the fluid within the heat exchanger, it can achieve a terminal temperature difference that is unattainable with other types of all-welded heat exchangers. The plate-type cover plates can be opened for mechanical cleaning of the flow passages. In this type of heat exchanger, the shear stress generated in the flow channels is higher than in other types of welded heat exchangers, making fouling less likely. Moreover, its unique flow-channel design also enables it to be used as a high-efficiency condenser.
