Wudi Xinyue Chemical Group Co., Ltd.
In 2017, maintenance was initiated on eight 200,000-ton-per-year membrane-cell electrolyzers at Beihua Machinery, each comprising 152 cell units. Following the overhaul, the operating current increased to 14.85 kA, and the cell voltage decreased to 2.94 V. During the maintenance, the feed inlet at the weir box of the electrolyzers was modified, as shown in the figure below. In 2023, Xinyue Chemical commissioned two additional 60,000-ton-per-year caustic soda production lines, with our company undertaking the associated electrolyzer project, which has now been successfully put into operation.
